Wild & Curious teamed up with Fathom Studios to create this video for the city of Pontiac, MI, detailing their efforts to revitalize the city.
Diving into the issue, the team began to peel back the years of economic struggles faced by the city. We explored the history of the General Motors Pontiac plants, which drew in much of the population to the area in the 20th century.
The decline of the automotive industry and subsequent deindustrialization of the region impacted the city and lives of its residents.
In order to address the damage from these economic challenges, the city developed an initiative that joins community stakeholders and private companies to incentivize redevelopment.
We developed an approach that incorporates drone footage and historical archives with stakeholder interviews that include civic and business leaders as well as community voices.
The video tells the story of their process, goals and achievements functioning as a key asset in their ongoing advocacy and fundraising.
